Hundred Seventy Split20th January 2020 - Newsletter from Leo

Hi everyone - as usual, apologies for the belated newsletter. Hope 2020 has started out well for you.
I guess you already know that 2019 was the fifty-year anniversary of Woodstock. It was a busy year for Hundred Seventy Split. We played fifty-three shows throughout Europe. Aside from playing HSS songs It was also fun playing the entire ‘1969 TYA Woodstock set’ excluding the drum solo ‘Hobbit’. I think that’s best left to Ric Lee.

Thanks to all of you that were able to come along and join us. I’m disappointed that we were not able to play more countries last year; in particular France and the States. Apologies for that. We’re promised shows and then somewhere down the line they don’t materialize usually because of visas or logistical problems. We won’t give up on trying.

Our latest release ‘Woodstock’69’ on CD and Vinyl was well received and you can purchase that and other items directly from our website www.10070split.co.uk if you can’t find it locally.

Hundred Seventy SplitNow for 2020. We’ve had so many requests to reprise the Woodstock songs. Wherever possible we’ll include them in our upcoming shows.
On January 23rd we start the year off with four shows in Holland and Belgium.
23rd Jan - Patronaat - Haarlem – Netherlands
24th Jan - Zik Zak - Ittre - Belgium
25th Jan - Bosuil - Weert – Netherlands
26th Jan - NUL13 - Tilburg – Netherlands
Please come along and join us if you can.

On October 22nd we start a long tour of Europe. Twenty dates are already booked. Throughout the rest of the year we’ll play a few select shows. All the info will be posted on our web site as soon as dates are finalised.

On February 1st we start recording studio album number four. The record will be ready for release towards the end of 2020 or sooner if possible. We’re all very excited.

That’s all the news from me except to say that Joe, Damon and I really appreciate your support. I know many of you now by first name.

See you out there on the Road,
Regards
Leo
